Who EOR Colombia is

Ours is the contract,
you lead the person, in Colombia

EOR Colombia employs people in Colombia for businesses with no company there. The employment contract is ours, peso payroll is ours, and so is keeping up with the Labour Code, DIAN and PILA. You recruit, set the work and manage the person like any colleague.

Hiring one person in Colombia should not mean first waiting for a registered SAS, its tax registration and a payroll set-up. We exist so a business abroad can employ one good person in Colombia properly, now.

Our reason

The gap

Foreign businesses find strong engineers, analysts and support staff in Colombia, then stall: a contractor arrangement risks being treated as employment under the presumption in article 24 of the Labour Code, and an SAS brings a monthly filing calendar that is heavy for one or two people.

We offer a third route. The person gets a real Colombian employment contract with every statutory benefit, and you get one monthly invoice and one contact.

Principles

Six rules we keep

These rules guide how we look after your Colombian employees and how we deal with you.

We hold the employer role

Our name is on the contract and every filing, so the duties of a Colombian employer sit with us.

One contact, both sides

The same account manager handles your questions and your employees’ questions, so nothing is lost between teams.

A human who answers

You email or call a person who knows your file. A question about a pay run is answered before it is paid, not after the money reaches the employee.

Paperwork done fully

Written contracts, probation clauses, PILA receipts and exit certificates are prepared every time, even for a short contract.

Grow or shrink freely

Take on a second person in Cali or close a role in Bogotá; each change follows Colombian law, and you see the cost of each step beforehand.

Prices you can predict

A flat fee from USD 560 for each role, plus statutory costs at what they cost. No percentage of salary.

Your support

Who supports your staff?

Four kinds of help sit behind every Colombian employee, all reached through your account manager.

Account management

One person for offers, changes, leave questions and exits, who knows your team and its history.

Payroll, DIAN and PILA

Salaries, withholding returns and the electronic payroll file for DIAN, plus PILA contributions to the EPS, pension fund, ARL and caja, with records for the UGPP.

Help for staff and managers

Help with probation, leave, sick certificates, discipline and termination, for you and for your staff.

Contracts and day one

Spanish contract with the terms article 39 of the CST lists, written probation, social security affiliation before day one, and a cesantías fund the employee chooses.

Every request goes through the account manager you already know.

Coverage

Where may your staff live in Colombia?

Anywhere in the country. Payroll rules are national, so a developer in Medellín, an analyst in Bogotá and a support agent in Barranquilla are employed the same way. The ARL rate follows the job’s risk class, and the transport allowance applies wherever public transport runs.

Cities

Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla, Cartagena and the rest of the country.
